Toll road EZ-tag mounted under the hood

Just wondering if I could mount an EZ-tag toll road pass under the fiberglass hood instead of on the windshield. Or maybe under the trunk lid to keep it away from the heat. Has anyone tried this?

mine is in the middle of the windscreen, at the bottom. Right in front of the rear view mirror. no problems at all.

I didn't put mine on. Texas goes off the license plate if the tag doesn't work.

The new toll tag stickers are tiny, maybe 1/2" x 2" or so. If you didn't know mine was there you would never notice it. Maybe try ordering one from NTTA.
