Thanks for accepting me into this club and hope to participate in one or more events.
About myself: Originally from Arlington, Virginia the majority of my life. Joined the Air Force in 1984 ended up stationed in Fort Worth for four years there, but had to leave to return to Virginia. When I was living here at DFW, I had my 1968 GT FB Mustang primer red cruising up and down Camp Bowie Blvd being a mischief. Yep a Mustang man and Shelby fan to the core.
Throughout my career in the AF, then years later became a civil service member, I have traveled just about everywhere as flying crewchief working heavy aircraft from the C-141, the big C-5 cargo planes, and finally the KC-135R Tanker. I have worked on a couple of other aircraft, but only assisted. I supported others like, the B-52's, KC-135A/E tankers, and F-4s in my time at Carswell. Been across both ponds on many occasions, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea (Southern side), and many many different countries.
I built a Factory Five Cobra MkIII in August of 2007, road worthy by the end of February 2008, legal at the end of May. It has a 347 Stroker, 5-spd Tremec TKO600, 3,55 gears, a custom fire suppression system, power steering, pwr disc brakes all around ('98 Cobra brake kit) Halibrand replica wheels, worn-out seats from driving the crap out of it. Just over 92, 000 miles and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Had an accident last October, ended up into the guardrail, it was either that or running into the car in front of me and totaling the cobra. After doing all of the repairs and mods myself with a friend who did and taught how to work with fiberglass, it's back on the road putting more miles on it. Hopefully this winter it will be painted and rid its blackeye (black primer) before the next cruise.
